Suzuki is gearing up to launch their new retro-style scooter, the US125, in early September 2024. With a 125cc engine, this scooter blends classic aesthetics with modern technology, promising to be a hit in the motorcycle market.
The US125 is developed and manufactured in collaboration with Qingqi, Suzuki’s joint venture partner in China.
Continuing the tradition of Suzuki’s “U” series in China, the US125 follows in the footsteps of the Suzuki Swing 125 (UY125) and Suzuki Lets (UU125).
With its Italian retro design, the US125 stands out with features such as round mirrors and square headlights reminiscent of Vespa models.
The scooter exudes a vintage charm with its prominent Suzuki logo on the grille, complemented by minimalist LED headlights and turn signals accented with chrome detailing.
The classic pastel color options further enhance the scooter’s appeal, emphasizing elegance and sophistication.
The US125 has overall dimensions of 1,865mm in length, 685mm in width, and 1,125mm in height, with a wheelbase of 1,285mm. It features telescopic front forks, a single front disc brake, and a rear drum brake.
Powered by a 125cc air-cooled engine, the Suzuki US125 delivers a maximum output of 6.9 horsepower and a peak torque of 10 Nm.
According to leaks, the US125 will be offered in three variants, with the top-of-the-line version expected to be equipped with an anti-lock braking system (ABS).
The premium version of the US125 is priced at 8,000 Chinese yuan, which roughly converts to 28 million Vietnamese dong.
However, as the US125 is specifically tailored for the Chinese market, its availability in international markets remains uncertain. Nonetheless, Suzuki enthusiasts are eagerly anticipating its potential global release.
