Banana stalks are the latest unique trend captivating the hearts of many women in Hanoi.

Ha Le, a flower enthusiast, shared her joy of transforming banana stalks into stunning floral arrangements in her home. For her, banana flower arrangement is not just about decoration but also a way to embrace a nature-centric lifestyle.

It’s an amazing feeling to have a lush, vibrant banana plant with its flowers and fruits right in your living space,” shared Ha Le. Admiring the gradual ripening of the bananas and the vibrant red banana flowers brings her immense joy and excitement, which is a rare experience for those living in cramped urban areas.

One of the advantages of using banana stalks and flowers in arrangements is their longevity. The banana stalks can last for several weeks, with the banana flowers adding a unique and natural touch to the display.

Dan Phuong, a resident of Dong Da district in Hanoi, shared her recent purchase of five wild banana flowers for VND 150,000 and five banana stalks for VND 230,000. She plans to enjoy this arrangement for a long time, as the bananas slowly ripen and the flowers remain fresh.

However, Nguyen Thuan, a seller of banana stalks for floral arrangements, pointed out some challenges. Banana stalks are heavy and require strength and dexterity to handle. Finding aesthetically pleasing banana stalks with the right shape and quality for floral arrangements can also be difficult. Additionally, the substantial weight of the stalks makes transportation costly.

Enthusiasts can now purchase banana flowers and stalks separately to suit their needs. Banana flowers are typically sold in sets of 3-5 flowers, with prices ranging from VND 30,000 to VND 50,000 per flower. Thuan sells banana stalks for VND 150,000 to VND 180,000 each.

Banana flower arrangement is a unique hobby that brings joy and offers a natural escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. It’s not just about beautifying living spaces but also about discovering and cherishing the natural beauty that surrounds us.
