The Tan Viet Company’s stone mine has been suspended from operation.

The four businesses that have been ordered to cease mineral extraction are: Tan Anh Tu Joint Stock Company, which holds Mining License No. 38/GP-UBND; Ngoc Lam Joint Stock Company, with License No. 09/GP-UBND; BPH Joint Stock Company, possessing License No. 22/GP-UBND; and Tan Viet Joint Stock Company, with License No. 26/GP-UBND.

The People’s Committee of Bao Loc City instructed relevant units and People’s Committees of the communes of Dai Lao, Loc Chau, and Dam B’ri to proactively coordinate and monitor the aforementioned companies’ compliance with the suspension of mineral extraction activities as per their granted mining licenses.

In the event that any of the companies continue mineral extraction operations during the suspension period, resolute action will be taken in accordance with regulations, or the case will be reported to the competent authorities for handling.

According to sources, in June 2024, all four companies were fined for administrative violations. Tan Viet Joint Stock Company was fined nearly 143 million VND, BPH Joint Stock Company was fined nearly 142 million VND, Tan Anh Tu Joint Stock Company was fined over 90 million VND, and Ngoc Lam Joint Stock Company was fined more than 140 million VND.

In addition to the monetary penalties, the four companies were also ordered to cease mineral extraction activities for a period of five months due to multiple violations in the fields of mineral resources and environmental protection.
