Hanoi’s Vice Chairman of the People’s Committee, Duong Duc Tuan, has approved the detailed planning scheme for Soc Son Urban Subdivision (Zone 6) at a scale of 1/2000. The planning scope covers the communes of Dong Xuan, Mai Dinh, and Phu Lo in Soc Son District, Hanoi.

Soc Son Urban Subdivision Zone 6 is designated for urban development, encompassing key functions such as industry (small and medium-sized industrial clusters), public and mixed-use areas serving the university town and auxiliary services for Noi Bai International Airport, an ecological park, and urbanized villages.

The total area within the planning scope of Soc Son Urban Subdivision Zone 6 is approximately 533.25 hectares, with a population of 16,330. It comprises four planning blocks and urban road networks to control development:

Zone A (433.02 ha): Includes three planning blocks labeled VI.1, VI.2, and VI.3, featuring existing areas for renovation and the Small and Medium-sized Soc Son Industrial Cluster (aiming for a transition to an industry-service support model).

Zone B (100.23 ha): Comprises a planning block labeled VI.4, primarily serving as a public service hub (commercial center, shopping, and outlet stores).

The urban space will develop along the urban road network (National Highway 18 and National Highway 3), forming large spaces in combination with concentrated construction areas (new functional zones).
