The Há»™i Bài – PhÆ°á»›c Tân road is one of the key projects in Bà Rịa – VÅ©ng Tàu province. With a total investment of nearly VND 3,700 billion from the provincial budget, the project aims to develop Phú Mỹ town, boost the local economy, and enhance transport connectivity with the Cái Mép – Thị Vải port cluster.

The expanded Há»™i Bài – PhÆ°á»›c Tân road will be 8.8 km long. Starting at the intersection of Châu Pha and Tóc Tiên communes, it will end at the junction with Road 991B (about 1 km from National Highway 51). The project is expected to be completed and opened to traffic by 2027.

In the future, this road will connect to the Biên Hòa – VÅ©ng Tàu Expressway and the Cái Mép – Thị Vải port cluster. The container terminals in the Cái Mép – Thị Vải area account for 32% of import and export goods in the Southern region and are currently ranked 7th in the world for operational efficiency.

The current Há»™i Bài – PhÆ°á»›c Tân road is only 16 meters wide with four lanes. After the expansion, it will have a cross-section scale of 72 meters (including six car lanes and four mixed lanes), along with a 24.5-meter roadbed, 30.5 meters of reserved land, 14-meter sidewalks, and a 3-meter central divider. As a special-grade project, the road will be designed for a speed of 80 km/h.

Currently, only about 100 meters of the road has been constructed and paved (the section connecting to National Highway 51 at the end of the route). The remaining sections have not been expanded and are still vacant or agricultural land. There are also many residential buildings along the road that have not been relocated yet.

Therefore, the project is still in its initial phase and requires more time for completion. The photo shows a section of the road where trees have been cleared and stones laid, but construction has been halted.

The entire Há»™i Bài – PhÆ°á»›c Tân route will feature three main intersections. The first is located at the beginning of the route, at the Châu Pha – Tóc Tiên intersection. The second intersection will connect with the Biên Hòa – VÅ©ng Tàu Expressway, and the third and final intersection will connect with DT.991B. The photo shows the Châu Pha – Tóc Tiên intersection.

To execute this project, the Bà Rịa – VÅ©ng Tàu authorities will need to acquire a total of approximately 61.4 hectares of land, including agricultural land, residential land, and land belonging to various organizations along the route.

The Há»™i Bài – PhÆ°á»›c Tân road is a vital artery in the region, accommodating a significant volume of traffic connecting to National Highway 51 and DT.991B, which is under construction to link to the Cái Mép port. However, with only a 16-meter width, the road fails to meet the transport demands of the area, especially with the upcoming Biên Hòa – VÅ©ng Tàu Expressway and Ho Chi Minh City’s Belt Road 4, which will connect to this route. Hence, expanding the Há»™i Bài – PhÆ°á»›c Tân road is imperative.

In addition to this project, the province of Bà Rịa – VÅ©ng Tàu is also expediting the implementation of other key projects, including the Biên Hòa – VÅ©ng Tàu Expressway, the PhÆ°á»›c An Bridge, and the upgrade and expansion of DT 991B.
