The A-SUV for Those Who Crave Power
As a cultural information officer in the mountainous Son Ha district of Quang Ngai province, Mr. Nguyen Van Thu needs a compact SUV that fits his budget but is also powerful and agile.
After extensive research, he chose the Hyundai Venue, a newly-launched A-SUV. Considering his work requirements and terrain, Mr. Thu appreciates the Venue’s powerful engine. Even on long-distance trips with winding roads, the car has more than enough power, making his business trips comfortable and effortless.

According to Mr. Thu, he was initially impressed by the Venue’s modern and masculine design, but it was the 120 horsepower engine that attracted him the most.
Indeed, during his ownership, Mr. Thu has been delighted with the car’s performance. Despite its small size, the Venue effortlessly tackles the hilly terrain characteristic of South Central Vietnam, delivering a sense of power and agility that larger vehicles often struggle to match.
Apart from its performance, Mr. Thu also commends the vehicle’s convenience features, especially the tire pressure sensors. On one of his business trips, a foreign object caused a tire puncture, but thanks to these sensors, he was able to quickly detect and address the issue, ensuring the continuity of his work and personal safety.
Naturally, no car is perfect, and the Venue, priced at 500 million VND, is no exception. Mr. Thu mentions that he finds the car a bit sluggish in urban settings. Upon further investigation, he attributes this to the 7-speed transmission’s inherent lag when paired with a small turbo engine.
He hopes that Hyundai will release a software update to mitigate this issue. Aside from this minor shortcoming, the Hyundai Venue continues to meet Mr. Thu’s expectations comprehensively.

Sharing similar criteria, Mr. Nguyen Kim Tin from Tuy Hoa, Phu Yen, also chose the Venue. Like Mr. Thu, he values the vehicle’s powerful engine and is pleased with the overall driving experience it offers.
With numerous options in the segment, Mr. Tin opted for the Venue due to Hyundai’s positive reputation for producing youthful and high-quality vehicles. In addition to the turbocharged engine’s performance, he also appreciates the car’s youthful and distinctive design, complemented by LED headlights with projector lenses.
The Venue also meets the owner’s high expectations for comfort, featuring spacious seats that provide a relaxing experience even during long-distance journeys, despite the vehicle’s compact size. Moreover, its responsive acceleration on highways allows for a more relaxed driving experience.
“Up to now, the Hyundai Venue has met my requirements well, and my next car will definitely be a larger SUV from Hyundai, possibly the Tucson or Santa Fe,” he says.
The Perfect Addition to Hyundai’s SUV Line-Up
Introduced in late 2023, the Hyundai Venue completes the brand’s SUV range in the Vietnamese market. Earlier that year, Hyundai Thanh Cong also launched the Palisade, the brand’s largest SUV, meaning that within the same year, Hyundai introduced two new SUVs—one the largest, the other the smallest in their lineup.

While the Palisade caters to customers seeking a spacious and prestigious mode of transportation without being overly ostentatious, the Venue appeals to a broader audience with limited budgets who still desire a powerful vehicle with high-quality optional equipment.
The Hyundai Venue boasts a compact size with dimensions of 3,995 mm in length, 1,770 mm in width, and 1,645 mm in height, but it also offers a respectable ground clearance of 195 mm and a turning radius of 5.1 meters, making it maneuverable in tight urban spaces.
Under the hood is a 1.0-liter Turbo GDI engine that delivers an impressive 120 horsepower and 172 Nm of torque, making it the most powerful car in its segment.

The Venue’s exterior design resembles a miniaturized version of the Palisade, featuring a large grille, low-set LED headlights, and daytime running lights that wrap around the headlights for a distinctive look. The rear features a modern lighting signature with an LED strip spanning the width of the vehicle.
The interior showcases a modern aesthetic with optimized space. The seats are upholstered in a combination of leather and fabric, and the steering wheel bears Hyundai’s signature design. The digital instrument cluster and 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system support Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Notably, the Venue is the first in its class to offer Type-C charging ports for both front and rear passengers.
In terms of safety, the Venue is equipped with essential features such as ABS with EBD and BA, electronic stability control, traction control, hill-start assist, a rearview camera, parking sensors, tire pressure monitoring, cruise control, and speed limit control, among others.

Since its launch in Vietnam over half a year ago, the Hyundai Venue has been making its mark, appealing to customers who crave the driving experience offered by its powerful turbo engine, complemented by a host of convenience and safety features.
With Hyundai’s tradition of rapid and sensible changes, the Venue is poised to become the top choice for Vietnamese customers in the dynamic small SUV segment.
