This National Day holiday, the number of passengers traveling through Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi is expected to increase by 11% compared to regular days. Approximately 338,000 passengers and over 2,100 flights are anticipated during the four-day holiday.

The busiest day is expected to be September 3rd, serving more than 96,000 passengers (including nearly 35,000 international and over 61,000 domestic passengers) and 569 flights (238 international and 331 domestic flights).

Following the instructions of the Vietnam Aviation Authority, Noi Bai Airport will implement enhanced level 1 aviation security controls from August 31st to September 3rd. The airport coordinates closely with various agencies, such as the Command of the Guard, the Mobile Police Command, Hanoi Police, Soc Son District Police, and Noi Bai International Airport Police, to ensure regular patrols, guarding, and protection of critical targets. This collaborative effort ensures absolute security and safety for all departing and arriving flights and daily operations at Noi Bai Airport.

For this occasion, Noi Bai Airport has deployed coordination plans to improve operational capacity and assigned officers to sensitive areas to prevent congestion and overload during peak hours in the passenger terminals.

Noi Bai Airport continues to implement the Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) model to ensure safety and efficiency. Close collaboration with airlines helps obtain timely flight plans to develop efficient aircraft parking arrangements, check-in counter allocations, boarding gate assignments, and baggage carousel distributions.

100% of passengers, baggage, cargo, mail, and goods are screened and security checked before entering restricted and sterile areas or boarding the aircraft. Stringent procedures and regulations are followed for identity document checks, with random interviews conducted for passengers at the document check points. Maximum security screening equipment is operated during peak hours to ensure smooth and swift passenger processing.

The airport ensures sufficient staff at the Information Counter, the automated Customer Care Hotline, and the dedicated hotline to provide 24/7 assistance and timely guidance to passengers.
