Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, attends the groundbreaking ceremony for the Le Thanh Tan Kien social housing project

Mr. Le Huu Nghia, Director of Le Thanh Company, said that to have the Le Thanh Tan Kien project inaugurated today, the company has been very persistent and patient in completing the remaining legal procedures.

“In the future, Le Thanh will implement some more social housing projects to meet the needs of the people. The company commits to implementing the project on schedule, ensuring the quality of the work, and bringing a peaceful, convenient, and civilized living environment to the residents, just like commercial housing. The project is expected to be completed and handed over to future residents in 2026,” said Mr. Nghia.

Mr. Pham Minh Man, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Construction, said that Ho Chi Minh City has set a target to invest in the construction of 69,700-93,000 social housing units by 2030. Currently, the city has 4 ongoing social housing projects. The Le Thanh Tan Kien social housing project is the 5th project, following the completion of the first 4 projects.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong, Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee, expressed his delight that the Le Thanh Tan Kien social housing project was launched right on the occasion of the National Day holiday on September 2. This is not only the effort of the investor but also the leadership of the city and the departments.

According to Mr. Cuong, together with the Government, Ho Chi Minh City has had specific mechanisms and policies to attract and create favorable conditions for investors to participate in developing social housing in the coming time. The city’s leaders and departments have agreed to focus on adjusting and removing difficulties so that many new projects can be implemented and started. The city is making efforts to inaugurate 5-6 more social housing projects by April 30, 2025, including the Le Thanh Tan Tao 2 social housing project.
