For EVNGENCO3, the cumulative electricity production for the first seven months reached over 15.4 billion kWh, equivalent to 54% of the 2024 plan. In July alone, the output was 1.27 billion kWh. Power generation since the beginning of the year has been ensured safely and continuously, especially during the rainy season.
The main contributors to this output were the power plants of Phu My Thermal Power Company, Vinh Tan, and Mong Duong, each producing over 4 billion kWh in the first seven months. Notably, the Vinh Tan 2 solar power complex produced 38.4 million kWh, achieving 64% of its annual plan.
In terms of revenue, the EVNGENCO3 parent company is estimated to have reached VND 1,620 billion in July, with a cumulative estimate of over VND 22,800 billion in the first seven months, fulfilling 57% of the annual plan.
Phu My Thermal Power holds the highest proportion in the revenue structure, contributing nearly VND 5,400 billion in the first seven months, or 36.7%. This is followed by Vinh Tan and Mong Duong, with approximately VND 6,800 billion each, accounting for 30% and 29.8% of the company’s revenue structure, respectively. Fuel supply for thermal power plants (coal and gas) during this period has been secured.
Regarding investment, construction, and project development progress, the Long Son LNG Thermal Power Project is currently being coordinated by the Enterprise with the Consortium members to prepare related contents for the next steps. At the same time, EVNGENCO3 is also promoting research and investment cooperation for the flexible power plant project in Ninh Binh; the expansion of Buon Kuop and Srêpôk 3 hydropower projects; and onshore and offshore wind power projects.
Plan to produce nearly 2.1 billion kWh in August
In August 2024, EVNGENCO3 aims to produce nearly 2.1 billion kWh of electricity, with more than 1.8 billion kWh coming from the parent company and 233 million kWh from subsidiaries and associated companies. At the same time, the enterprise will continue to proactively ensure fuel supply for power generation in the last months of 2024 and the dry season of 2025.
To achieve this plan, the enterprise will implement solutions to ensure the availability of generators, improve efficiency, reduce heat rate, and ensure safe, continuous, and efficient power supply. Hydropower plants will proactively regulate water flow downstream according to the process, efficiently utilize water resources, and ensure dam safety during the flood season.

Alongside production and business activities, EVNGENCO3 also carried out many gratitude activities on the occasion of the 77th War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day (July 27, 1947 – July 27, 2024). Specifically, in Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City, the EVNGENCO3 Youth Union visited and presented 10 gifts, each worth VND 1 million, to Vietnamese heroic mothers, veterans, policy beneficiaries, and revolutionary contributors. Phu My Thermal Power Company visited and presented 50 gifts to wounded and sick soldiers and policy beneficiaries in Chau Pha ward, Phu My town. EPS Company also presented 20 gifts to wounded and sick soldiers and policy beneficiaries in Song Xoai and Tan Phuoc wards, Phu My town, Ba Ria – Vung Tau province. Vinh Tan Thermal Power Company presented 75 gifts to policy beneficiaries in Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province, with a total value of over VND 37 million. Although small, these gifts carry the profound gratitude and respect of the company’s employees for those who have dedicated their lives to the struggle for national liberation, protection, and development.
