Ha Nam: A Province on the Rise
In recent years, Ha Nam has emerged as a province with a rapidly growing and sustainable economy. In the first six months of 2024 alone, the province’s GRDP growth reached an impressive 10.35%, the highest in the Red River Delta region and the fourth highest in the country. As a result, the province has seen a significant increase in its residents’ income and a remarkable improvement in their quality of life.
Aside from its impressive economic achievements, Ha Nam is also becoming a top destination to live and work in Northern Vietnam due to its well-developed and modern transportation network.
Ha Nam enjoys seamless road and rail connections with Hanoi and other neighboring provinces.
In terms of road infrastructure, Ha Nam is strategically located along several major routes, including National Highway 1A and the Phap Van – Cau Gie – Ninh Binh Expressway. The Phap Van (Hanoi) – Phu Thu (Ha Nam) section of the expressway is proposed to be expanded from 8 lanes to 10-12 lanes, further enhancing connectivity. Additionally, the Phu Thu interchange on the Cau Gie – Ninh Binh Expressway, expected to be completed by 2025, will connect with the Capital Region’s Ring Road 5, making travel to and from Ha Nam even more convenient.
When it comes to rail transport, Ha Nam boasts a strategic stop at Phu Ly Station on the upcoming high-speed North-South railway line, with construction slated to begin in 2027. Furthermore, the planned construction of a second airport for the Capital Region in Ung Hoa and Phu Xuyen districts (Hanoi) will further enhance Ha Nam’s advantage in terms of cargo and passenger transportation across the country.
Another appealing aspect of Ha Nam is its picturesque natural scenery, formed by the confluence of three major rivers: the Nhuệ, Châu, and Đáy rivers. This advantageous geographical location, as described by ancestors, is where the essence of the mountains and rivers converge, creating a unique and vibrant landscape. In addition, the province is home to a vast treasure trove of tangible and intangible cultural heritage, reflecting the rich cultural identity of the Red River Delta region. As a result, Ha Nam attracts millions of domestic and international tourists each year, gradually becoming a must-visit destination for those seeking to explore the nature and culture of Northern Vietnam.
Ha Nam is in need of well-planned urban areas that offer a higher quality of life.
However, it is a fact that the existing urban areas in the province have not kept pace with its economic development and the evolving needs of its residents. The old center of Phu Ly is congested and lacks space for further expansion. The challenge now is to develop modern and high-class urban areas with an “all-in-one” criterion, not only to realize the goal of turning Phu Ly into a first-class city by 2030 and making Ha Nam a centrally-governed city by 2050 but also to meet the needs of Hanoi residents and those from neighboring provinces.
According to Mr. Nguyen Van Dinh, Vice President of the Vietnam Real Estate Association, Hanoi residents are now looking for large urban areas that offer a higher quality of life. This presents a unique opportunity for provinces adjacent to Hanoi, including Ha Nam. “With the current transportation infrastructure, time and distance are no longer issues. Hanoi residents will choose places that are worthy, offer a great landscape, and have special conditions for living or investing. With its advantages and the involvement of experienced corporations, Ha Nam can certainly gain the trust and choice of the people,” said Mr. Dinh.
Elevating Ha Nam’s Living Standards
With a mission to pioneer and lead the development of regions with great potential that have not been adequately tapped, Sun Property (a member of Sun Group) is creating the Sun Urban City, a modern urban area in the north of Phu Ly city. With a scale of up to 420 hectares, the project is expected to become a civilized and ideal living space thanks to its modern planning, synchronous infrastructure, and diverse utilities, blending contemporary trends with the preservation of the region’s unique heritage.
Sun Urban City aims to elevate Ha Nam’s living standards.
Sun Urban City is located in the north of Chau Giang, the southern gateway to the Hanoi Capital Region. The project enjoys a prime location, serving as the transportation hub of Ha Nam province, conveniently connected to National Highway 1A, the Phap Van – Cau Gie – Ninh Binh Expressway, the future North-South high-speed railway, and the Ring Road 5. From the project, residents can easily reach Hanoi within 45 minutes, Ninh Binh and Nam Dinh within 30 minutes, and Thanh Hoa within just over an hour. This provides excellent conditions for trade connections and convenient living for its residents.
Developed following the model of a “suburban resort city with 1,001 utilities south of Hanoi,” Sun Urban City has a construction density of only 18%. Green spaces and water bodies cover a significant area of up to 200 hectares, along with a complex of five large parks, creating an ecological, high-class, and nature-friendly living environment.
The five large parks include: a vibrant festival park open day and night; a cultural park featuring a fireworks display platform in the middle of the lake, a brewery, and an event square; a sports park equipped with modern training facilities; an ecological park with a world-class Kid Universal complex for children; and, most notably, the nearly 20-hectare Sun World park, comprising a water park and an indoor amusement park, offering a range of exciting experiences unique to Northern Vietnam.
The park system at Sun Urban City is designed to meet the diverse needs of its residents.
Sun Urban City offers an extensive range of 1,001 utilities to cater to the needs of all generations. For the elderly, there is the Sun Family Clinic, a comprehensive healthcare facility offering medical check-ups, health consultations, and dietary advice. They can also enjoy the ecological spaces and green landscapes for relaxation, sports activities, and socializing with peers. Meanwhile, young people and children can indulge in unparalleled shopping and entertainment experiences right here in Ha Nam.
The Sun Urban City is also distinguished by its remarkable key utilities, such as a grand boulevard that is 150 meters wide and 1.5 kilometers long, one of the largest in Vietnam and the region. This boulevard leads to a square where fireworks displays and entertainment events utilizing modern technology will be held, serving as a venue for major festivals and events in Ha Nam in the future. Notably, the new Ha Nam Provincial Administrative Center, spanning 27.8 hectares, will also be located within this large-scale urban area, further emphasizing the “unparalleled” status of Sun Urban City in the southern gateway to the Capital Region.
In summary, with its exceptional values in terms of location, infrastructure, space, and utilities, the Sun Urban City is poised to become a top-tier and desirable place to live in the near future. Therefore, it is no surprise that the project has become a focal point of attention in the Northern real estate market since its launch. Investors also anticipate that Sun Urban City Ha Nam will be a strong driving force for the overall growth of the market.
Hanoi’s Update on the Delayed 1.000 billion VND Hospital Project
To address the challenges faced by investors, the Hanoi People’s Committee has instructed the Long Bien People’s Committee and the Department of Natural Resources and Environment to resolve any obstacles that arise during the implementation of the Thang Long 1,000-Year Oncology and Plastic Surgery Hospital project.
