In the afternoon of August 28, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha met with Mr. Wang Hai Huai, General Director of the China Communications Construction Company (CCCC).
The General Director of CCCC acknowledged that Vietnam offers favorable conditions for foreign businesses to invest and operate, thanks to its deep integration, legal framework, and improved business environment.
During the meeting, the CCCC leader shared that the corporation is closely following Vietnam’s important transportation projects that connect local areas of China and Vietnam, including the North-South high-speed railway, and metro lines in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. Moreover, the corporation is also ready to undertake nearshore and offshore wind power projects, utilizing the most advanced technologies.
The Deputy Prime Minister commended CCCC’s accomplishments in infrastructure development, including transportation, energy, and renewable energy projects, over the years. He also expressed his hope for CCCC to put forward practical and effective cooperation proposals in areas such as infrastructure, construction, transportation, and agriculture, thus contributing to realizing the high-level agreements between the two countries’ governments and ruling parties.
Additionally, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha suggested that CCCC proactively study and participate in Vietnam’s priority infrastructure development projects, such as the North-South high-speed railway, the Lao Cai-Hanoi-Haiphong, Hanoi-Dong Dang, Haiphong-Dong Dang-Mong Cai railway routes, and connectivity projects between Vietnam and Chinese provinces, as well as other countries.
“These are priority projects that need to be implemented as soon as possible,” Mr. Ha emphasized, requesting CCCC to promptly approach Vietnamese partners and study the legal regulations of both sides to ensure efficient cooperation, from design and technology selection to management, operation, and exploitation.
“The projects undertaken by CCCC in Vietnam will not only symbolize the cooperation between our two countries but also open up investment and business opportunities for the corporation in other fields,” the Deputy Prime Minister added.
