The project is located at the northeastern gateway to Hanoi, the focal point of important transport links to other provinces by road, air, and metro.Â
It takes just 15 minutes to get to Noi Bai International Airport from the project, and only 5 minutes to reach Hoan Kiem and Tay Ho districts via the future Tu Lien Bridge. The project is also adjacent to the upcoming metro line connecting Dong Anh with other parts of Hanoi. Currently, the project offers convenient access to the city center via the extended National Highway 5, Truong Sa Road, and Dong Tru and Nhat Tan bridges.
The National Convention and Exhibition Center boasts a total area of 90 hectares, ranking it among the top 10 largest exhibition centers in the world in terms of both overall and exhibition space. The indoor exhibition building is the centerpiece of the complex, resembling the image of Kim Quy (Golden Turtle) – one of the four sacred animals in Oriental culture, associated with the legend of Kim Quy protecting the ancient land of “talent and virtue” of Co Loa, Dong Anh.
The exhibition space is created under the sturdy shell of the Golden Turtle, divided into 9 sub-areas with an area of over 10,000 m2 each and a grand lobby of more than 7,000 m2. Supporting the indoor exhibition space are various modern functional areas such as banquet halls, conference rooms, restaurants, etc., catering to the needs of exhibitions in all fields and industries.
Notably, the investor also focuses on bringing nature into the exhibition design by installing glass on the lobby and focal points, welcoming the dazzling sunlight every day, offering visitors a unique sensory experience. The exhibition area is surrounded by a lake and greenery, creating a relaxing and pleasant outdoor space.
In harmony with the main exhibition building are 4 outdoor exhibition parks accommodating large-scale events, exhibitions, festivals, and cultural tourism activities, or multiple simultaneous events. With a total outdoor exhibition space of 20.6 hectares, this is the second-largest outdoor exhibition center in the world and the largest in Asia.
After the completion of the main structure, two smaller indoor exhibition halls will also be developed to increase the scale and provide more options for customers. Serving the exhibition core is a diverse ecosystem of auxiliary structures, including commercial, service, and office areas, a 5-star international hotel managed by Marriott, outdoor parking lots, etc., forming a vibrant “international business city” that bustles day and night.
The National Convention and Exhibition Center is a key national project in the field of trade and services, replacing the old Exhibition Center in Giang Vo. With its unique scale and ranking among the top 10 largest exhibition centers in the world, the National Convention and Exhibition Center will be an international destination for leading global trade fairs and exhibitions, igniting a vibrant Expo economy, similar to the models of Dubai Expo (United Arab Emirates), Frankfurt (Germany), and Fiera Milano (Italy), among others.
Mr. Nguyen Viet Quang, CEO of Vingroup, emphasized that the groundbreaking event demonstrates Vingroup’s determination to create an international destination on par with the world’s leading exhibition centers and to build a foundation for domestic and foreign enterprises to connect, promote, and boost trade. He also expressed his hope that the center would contribute to introducing Vietnam to the world and attracting the world to Vietnam.
