The Quang Ninh People’s Committee has approved the master plan for the construction of the Nui Cuong Island Tourism Area in Dai Binh, Dam Ha District, with a vision towards 2045. The planning scope covers the entire area of Nui Cuong Island, bordering Bai Tu Long Bay and the sea north of Cai Bau Island.

Spanning nearly 1,080 hectares, the project includes a planning area of over 670 hectares, with the remaining area dedicated to preserving the value of the forest and marine environment. The vision is to create an integrated tourism hub, featuring a golf course, eco-resort, and marine conservation area, alongside aquaculture development. The project aims to strike a balance between tourism and environmental protection, with a target population of 7,800 by 2030, growing to 20,000 by 2045, including tourists and workers.

The master plan divides the area into four sub-areas. Sub-area 1, spanning over 190 hectares, is located at the northern gateway, connecting to the Dam Ha district center, the Van Don – Mong Cai highway, and the Van Don Economic Zone. This sub-area will host a range of entertainment and recreational facilities, a marina, a seaplane terminal, cultural centers, exhibition halls, a conference center, a central square, and a coastal ecological conservation area. The northern forested area is reserved for future service and tourism development.

Sub-area 2, the western island tourism and resort area, covers over 120 hectares, integrating high-end resorts seamlessly into the natural landscape while minimizing land clearance to preserve the mangrove ecosystem.

The Dam Ha Tourism, Resort, and Golf Course project, as per the Quang Ninh People’s Committee’s decision, spans nearly 167 hectares and includes a 27-hole golf course and eco-friendly supporting services for visitors.

Sub-area 4, the southern island tourism and resort area, spans over 190 hectares, centered around a commercial services complex. The surrounding islands will feature resort villages offering diverse experiential tourism options, all while preserving the mangrove ecosystem.

The Quang Ninh People’s Committee has entrusted the Department of Construction and other relevant departments to oversee the specialized management of the approved master plan and coordinate with the Dam Ha District People’s Committee to ensure its effective implementation.
