Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has issued Decision No. 919/QD-TTg, dated August 28, 2024, on assigning tasks to the Deputy Prime Ministers. The Decision assigns Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long to oversee and direct 5 ministries.

Accordingly, Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long will oversee and direct the following areas of work:
– Institution building and the development of a socialist rule-of-law state
– International dispute settlement and litigation
– Education, training, and vocational guidance
– Labor, employment, and social issues; poverty eradication
– Culture, tourism, physical education, and sports
– Public health, population, family, and children
– Approval of investment policies for projects within his assigned domains
Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long will oversee and guide the following ministries: Ministry of Justice, Ministry of Education and Training, Ministry of Labor, Invalids, and Social Affairs, Ministry of Health, and Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism.
Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long’s Responsibilities:
– Chairman of the National Council for Education and Human Resource Development
– Chairman of the Central Council for National Defense and Security Education
– Chairman of the National Council for Sustainable Development and Competitiveness Enhancement
– Head of the National Tourism Steering Committee
– Head of the Central Inter-sectoral Steering Committee for Food Safety and Hygiene
– Chairman of the National Committee for AIDS, Drug, and Prostitution Prevention and Control
– Chairman of relevant National Councils and Committees, Head of relevant Steering Committees, and Chairman of the Council for Master Plan Appraisal in related fields.
In addition to performing the tasks and exercising the powers stipulated above, the Deputy Prime Minister shall perform other tasks as assigned or authorized by the Prime Minister.
