On September 3, the leadership of the Dabaco Group (DBC code) and its member units met to evaluate the production and business results of the second quarter; deploy directions and tasks for September and the fourth quarter of 2024, with the aim of finding solutions to successfully implement the 2024 production and business plan.

Dabaco assessed that in the first months of 2024, the socio-economic situation continued to face numerous difficulties, with intense competition among major countries escalating and a fragile global economic recovery.

Additionally, the outbreak of diseases in many localities across the country, unstable supply of raw materials, and disruptions in supply chains also significantly impacted the overall growth targets of the economy, the agriculture sector in general, and the company’s business operations in particular.

However, the company has implemented comprehensive solutions in production, market, and product development; reviewed and improved economic and technical indicators, improved productivity and product quality, reduced costs, and actively accelerated the progress of unfinished investment projects such as the Phase II Oil Factory, especially in obtaining the GMP-WHO certification for the vaccine factory with the most modern equipment and technology available today.

As a result, the ASF disease has been basically controlled; the productivity of the sow herd has been improved, with some units achieving 33-35 pigs/sow/year; successfully crossbred and developed the famous Mía chicken breed in the market; the consumption of animal feed and aquaculture feed also reached the highest level since the beginning of the year; the Vegetable Oil Factory operated at full capacity, providing a diverse range of products to the market and input materials for the Group’s animal feed factories…

In terms of business performance, revenue in August 2024 surpassed the milestone of 2,024 billion VND, an increase of 11% compared to July. Overall revenue in the third quarter of 2024 increased by 12% compared to the previous two consecutive months and by 33% over the same period last year. The animal feed and pig farming sectors remained the main contributors to this growth.

For the full year of 2024, Dabaco sets a revenue plan of VND 25,380 billion, up 14.4% over the same period, with an expected after-tax profit of VND 729.8 billion, an increase of 28.19 times compared to the performance in 2023. To achieve the above plan, Dabaco directs the units to focus on implementing the following key groups of solutions.

First, actively research and apply comprehensive technical and technological solutions to improve productivity and quality of products in the field of animal feed and breeding, while strictly saving costs, reducing production costs, and increasing competitiveness in the market.

Second, strictly control the biological safety production and breeding process from the stage of feed production, transportation to the breeding farm, and sales; by all means, ensure absolute safety for the livestock.

Third, apply comprehensive solutions to develop and expand the market in terms of both quantity and quality, ensuring widespread coverage throughout the country, promoting the export of products to countries in the region and the world; effectively exploiting the product portfolio in the 3F value chain (Feed – Farm – Food) to consolidate the Group’s reputation and position.

Fourth, actively accelerate the progress of construction investment projects to soon contribute to the revenue and efficiency of the Group’s production and business.

Fifth, urgently complete the final steps to standardize the vaccine factory and strive to commercialize the ASF vaccine in the fourth quarter of 2024…
