On September 4th, V-GREEN, a global electric vehicle charging station developer, introduced a franchised charging station model in Vietnam. This new business model, based on a “public-private partnership,” offers a novel business opportunity to landowners nationwide.

Similar to the official V-GREEN-invested charging stations, these franchised stations will serve VinFast electric car and motorbike owners across Vietnam. V-GREEN pledges to share a fixed revenue of 750 VND for every 1 kWh of electricity charged with its partners for a minimum of 10 years.

V-GREEN also provides full technological support for management, financial operations, maintenance, and marketing to attract customers during the collaboration. Furthermore, V-GREEN guarantees compensation to station owners if the company ceases operations before the 10-year commitment ends.

Partners only need to invest in additional equipment and infrastructure to ensure the smooth operation of the charging stations. Apart from the revenue-sharing model, partners can boost their income by offering value-added services to electric vehicle owners, such as car care, shopping, and entertainment during the charging wait time.

Notably, parking lots, gas stations, supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, and hotels will have the opportunity to expand their customer base by investing in V-GREEN franchised charging stations. This innovative business model aligns with Vietnam’s green economic development goals and the strong shift towards the use of electric vehicles in the country.
