The People’s Committee of Can Tho City has issued a decision approving adjustments to the detailed construction planning at a ratio of 1/500 for the Thoi Thuan Ward Resettlement Area – Phase 2 in Thot Not District (adjacent to the VSHIP Can Tho Industrial Park – the largest industrial park in Can Tho).
The scope of the adjustments includes three locations: Location 1 (approximately 1.52 hectares) comprises three plots of land designated for worker housing within the industrial park, one plot for service facilities, and one plot for greenery. Location 2 (0.35 hectares) involves land for adjacent housing and embankments, while Location 3 (0.48 hectares) is earmarked for embankments abutting the rear of the adjacent housing lots.
The adjusted planning encompasses an area of over 2.3 hectares within a total planning area of nearly 26 hectares, catering to a population of approximately 6,300 people (an increase of over 500 individuals).

Specifically, the planning adjustments transform the plots intended for worker housing complexes, measuring over 6,200 square meters, 4,000 square meters, and 2,000 square meters, respectively, into social housing apartments. The maximum building height for these apartments has been increased from 5 stories to a maximum of 16 stories above ground and 1 story underground.
