“The Investors: An Inspirational Talk Show Series for Aspiring Entrepreneurs.”

The Vietnamese stock market has come a long way since its inception 24 years ago, and it continues to grow and solidify its role in the economy. It has become an essential capital mobilization channel for businesses and an attractive investment avenue for individuals.

From just two listed companies, SAM and REE, in 2000, there are now thousands of listed and traded companies with a market capitalization of 700 trillion VND. While there have been challenging times, the long-term trend of the stock market has been upward. The VN-Index, which started at 100 points, has even surpassed the 1,500 mark at times.

The stock exchange is home to an increasing number of companies with market capitalizations of tens of thousands of billions. Many of these businesses have made their mark regionally and globally, attracting significant foreign investor interest. This testifies to the allure of the Vietnamese stock market, where attractive investment opportunities always exist.

As a result, Vietnam’s stock market has drawn a growing number of participants, with the number of accounts surpassing eight million and continuing to rise. This has contributed to a surge in market liquidity, with “billion-dollar” trading sessions becoming commonplace, placing Vietnam among the most vibrant stock markets in the region.

To reflect on the market’s journey over the past two decades and inspire investors, CafeF has collaborated with VPBankS to create a Talkshow series titled The Investors.
