“Nurturing Dreams, One Scholarship at a Time”

This year’s scholarship program offers over 4,000 scholarships, each including a backpack. Specifically, the scholarships for secondary school students are worth VND 1.5 million each, along with the opportunity to win prizes of up to VND 5 million from the “Sacombank’s Colors” painting contest. Full scholarships for university students are valued at VND 75 million each, including a top scholarship worth VND 100 million, and the opportunity to work at Sacombank upon graduation.

This year’s scholarship recipients include secondary and high school students from all provinces and cities where Sacombank branches operate, as well as university students majoring in Economics or Information Technology in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, and the Western and North-Central regions. To be eligible, secondary school students must have achieved “Good” academic performance and “Excellent” conduct during the 2023-2024 academic year, while university students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5/4.0.

For secondary school students, Sacombank collaborated with schools during July and August 2024 to select over 3,900 eligible students nationwide. Additionally, Sacombank organized a painting contest to encourage creativity and provide extra motivation for the students. On September 5, 2024, the bank simultaneously awarded over 3,900 scholarships and 60 painting contest prizes to students.

For university students, those who meet the eligibility criteria can submit their applications through the website www.sacombankcareer.com starting in September 2024. Selected applicants will then proceed to the “Conquest Round,” consisting of face-to-face interviews held in November 2024. From this process, Sacombank will identify 45 students eligible for full scholarships, along with backpacks, for three consecutive years (VND 25 million per year) until graduation. In addition to the full scholarships, Sacombank is offering 80 one-year scholarships, each worth VND 10 million plus a backpack, to students meeting the criteria at universities with long-standing cooperation with the bank.

The “Nurturing Dreams” scholarship program has become one of Sacombank’s familiar community activities since its inception in 2004, coinciding with the start of the new academic year. To date, the bank has awarded over 46,300 scholarships, totaling nearly VND 72 billion.

In addition to scholarships, Sacombank annually provides opportunities for university students to participate in training and orientation programs, skill-building courses, internships, career days, and more, thereby contributing tangibly to education and offering career development prospects for young people. With the motto “Growing Together,” Sacombank considers spreading love and sharing with the community as an important mission, alongside achieving business success and breakthroughs.

Along with the “Nurturing Dreams” scholarship program, Sacombank also carries out various meaningful activities throughout the year, such as the “Warm Spring” charity program and the “Sharing from the Heart” blood donation drive. Notably, the “Steps for Community” run, organized by Sacombank in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, has attracted the enthusiastic participation of thousands of Sacombank employees and young people nationwide over its 16 editions, contributing to the successful construction of community cultural houses for ethnic minorities.
