On September 4, at the Socio-Economic Conference, National Defense and Security for August and the first eight months of 2024 in Dong Nai province, Mr. Dang Minh Duc, Director of the Department of Natural Resources and Environment, stated that the province has not yet adjusted land prices as per the Law on Land, which took effect on August 1, 2024. The current land price framework will remain unchanged until the end of 2024.

According to Mr. Duc, the reason for not adjusting land prices is that there are numerous projects and works in progress in Dong Nai province, involving land compensation and site clearance procedures that rely on land price determination. Adjusting land prices at this time would present significant challenges and difficulties.

Nonetheless, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment has advised the Provincial People’s Committee to adjust land prices in certain cases. These include areas with recently completed transport and infrastructure projects lacking a land price framework and resettlement areas where land prices need to be set to facilitate resettlement arrangements for affected residents.
