Nguyen Thuy Hanh becomes the first Vietnamese to be appointed as CEO of Standard Chartered Vietnam

On September 6, 2024, Standard Chartered Bank Vietnam announced the appointment of Nguyen Thuy Hanh as its new CEO and Head of Corporate & Institutional Clients. The decision will take effect from October 1, 2024.
Ms. Nguyen Thuy Hanh is the first Vietnamese to be appointed to the highest leadership position at Standard Chartered Bank Vietnam.
According to Standard Chartered Vietnam, this decision further strengthens the bank’s commitment to promoting diversity and developing national talent.
With 30 years of industry experience, Ms. Thuy Hanh has a deep understanding of the domestic market and experience working in international banking. Since joining Standard Chartered in 1997, she has held several senior leadership positions, including Director of Financial Institutions for Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia; Director of Global Corporate and Institutional Clients; and Director of Commercial Enterprises.
