In his speech, Mr. Tran Kim Loc, President of SAV Trade Union, said that the recent third storm had caused severe damage to the Northern provinces and cities. Many people lost their lives or went missing, and numerous houses were flooded, collapsed, or damaged. The storm and floods also destroyed a large number of crops, livestock, and aquaculture; damaged roads and bridges; and isolated many residential areas.

With the spirit of solidarity and a desire to help fellow citizens overcome the consequences of the storm, SAV Trade Union organized this ceremony to call for donations from all officials, civil servants, public employees, and laborers of SAV. The suggested minimum donation is one day’s salary.

“On behalf of the organizing committee, I sincerely call for the active and enthusiastic participation of all delegates and employees of SAV,” appealed Mr. Tran Kim Loc, President of SAV Trade Union.

At the ceremony, leaders of SAV and all its employees directly contributed to supporting people affected by the storm and natural disasters.
