Essential goods and supplies for the flood-affected communities in the North will be booked and given priority for free transport on Bamboo Airways’ flights as soon as possible. This policy applies to the airline’s flights departing from Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang, Cam Ranh, Quy Nhon, and Da Lat to Hanoi. The relief goods consist of essential items and necessities.

To ensure smooth and efficient transportation, the airline requests that the goods be packed securely in packages, with each package weighing no more than 40kg. Additionally, each flight will carry a maximum of 500kg of aid goods.

Organizations wishing to send goods are required to provide an official letter and a detailed list of the relief items. Bamboo Airways will not transport goods containing batteries or any dangerous items.

Mr. Luong Hoai Nam, CEO of Bamboo Airways, shared that the airline’s staff are dedicated to prioritizing the transportation of relief goods on their flights. “We hope to join hands and provide the fastest and most timely support to the people in the North who are severely affected by this historic storm and floods,” said Mr. Nam.

Similarly, Vietnam Airlines Group has also started transporting relief goods with a policy of waiving cargo fees for communities affected by Storm Yagi since September 10. The group collects fuel surcharges and other related fees.

Priority cargo bookings are available for flights departing from airports nationwide to Noi Bai Airport (Hanoi), Cat Bi Airport (Hai Phong), Vinh Airport (Nghe An), Tho Xuan Airport (Thanh Hoa), Van Don Airport (Quang Ninh), and Dien Bien Airport.

The goods will be accepted and transported free of charge on flights operated by Vietnam Airlines Group, including Vietnam Airlines, Pacific Airlines, and Vasco.

This program is applicable to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at all levels, People’s Committees of provinces and cities, the Vietnam Red Cross at all levels, and charitable funds (established and recognized by the State).
