Present at the welcoming ceremony for the Lao high-level delegation were senior leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam, including: Lương Cường, Permanent Member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee; Lê Hoài Trung, Head of the Commission for External Relations; Nguyễn Duy Ngọc, Head of the Office of the Party Central Committee; Võ Thị Ánh Xuân, Vice President of Vietnam; Bùi Thanh Sơn, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; Trần Quang Phương, Vice President of the National Assembly; along with many members of the Central Committee, leaders of ministries, sectors, central agencies, and Hanoi capital, representatives from the Office of the General Secretary, and diplomats from ASEAN embassies in Vietnam.

From early morning, along Hung Vuong Avenue leading to the Presidential Palace, numerous students, youths, and residents of Hanoi, with flags of Vietnam and Laos and beautiful flowers in their hands, enthusiastically welcomed the Lao high-ranking delegation.

At exactly 9:40 am, the motorcade, escorted by pilot and security vehicles, brought General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse to the Presidential Palace.

The motorcade stopped at the red carpet, and to the sound of welcoming music, General Secretary and President Tô Lâm and his spouse warmly greeted their Lao counterparts, who were visiting Vietnam. The students also presented bouquets of fresh flowers to the Lao leaders.

General Secretary and President Tô Lâm then invited General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith to ascend the review stand. The sound of cannons reverberated majestically, followed by the playing of the national anthems of the two countries.
