On September 9, 2024, the People’s Committee of Phuc Tho District, Hanoi, and T&T Group officially inaugurated the construction of technical infrastructure for the Nam Phuc Tho Industrial Cluster – Phase 1. This event celebrates the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2024) and contributes to the orientations of the master plan for the development of industrial clusters in the city by 2020, with a vision towards 2030.
Advantages of a Prime Location
The Nam Phuc Tho Industrial Cluster – Phase 1 was established under Decision No. 2800/QD-UBND dated June 26, 2020, of the Hanoi People’s Committee, with a vision to become a multi-sectoral industrial cluster, mainly focusing on clean industries. It is planned to be a medium- and small-sized cluster with advanced, high-tech characteristics, high added value, participation in the global value chain, and minimal environmental impact. According to the master plan, the project covers an area of 41.7 hectares in Tam Hiep and Ngoc Tao communes, Phuc Tho district, Hanoi. The main items of the project include land leveling; transportation system; rainwater drainage system; wastewater collection and treatment system; power supply system; water supply system; telecommunication system; greenery; and a centralized wastewater treatment station. In addition, the architectural and landscape space of the project is arranged to ensure compliance with regulations, and the internal transportation network is designed for flexible movement of vehicles.
Industrial clusters have been contributing to the economy by promoting industrialization and modernization.
With its prime location on National Highway 32, providing easy connectivity to the center of Hanoi and neighboring districts and counties, the Nam Phuc Tho Industrial Cluster – Phase 1 will boost and expand opportunities for inter-regional economic cooperation while also harnessing the local potential and advantages. Moreover, the project becomes a crucial link in the chain of T&T Group’s projects, harnessing the power of comprehensive “internal force” and contributing to the country’s economic development. It is worth mentioning that the Vinh Phuc Logistics ICD Center – the first “super port” in the ASEAN smart logistics network and one of the largest logistics hubs in Northern Vietnam, developed through a joint venture between T&T Group and YCH Group (Singapore) – has been completed and its first phase is operational. This project has significantly facilitated the transportation of domestic and import-export goods and connected industrial parks and clusters through road, rail, waterway, and airway in the Vietnam-China-ASEAN economic corridor. Thus, along with the Vinh Phuc ICD “super port,” the technical infrastructure project for the Nam Phuc Tho Industrial Cluster – Phase 1 by T&T Group will create a driving force to attract domestic and foreign investors and large enterprises, encouraging businesses to leverage the strengths and advantages of logistics services, infrastructure, and supply chains. It also opens up opportunities for enterprises to participate in the global and ASEAN supply chains while promoting the development of the logistics sector.
With the goal of “pioneering the development of clean industrial clusters,” in line with the new trend in the establishment of industrial parks and clusters in Vietnam, the Nam Phuc Tho Industrial Cluster – Phase 1 aims to build a community of concentrated, green, and clean production enterprises while also fostering technological innovation and enhancing the competitiveness of domestic enterprises. The project is expected to attract domestic and foreign businesses, gradually promoting Vietnam’s international economic integration and increasing state budget revenues. Once operational, the project will provide land funds for concentrated industrial production, create jobs for laborers, increase income, stabilize people’s lives, and ensure social security.
Promoting Industrialization and Reducing Environmental Pollution
According to Mr. Nguyen Dinh Son, Vice Secretary of the District Party Committee and Chairman of the People’s Committee of Phuc Tho District, Tam Hiep and Ngoc Tao communes currently have more than 1,200 establishments and households producing and trading in garments, carpentry, mechanics, and other industries. He emphasized, “The construction and operation of the Nam Phuc Tho Industrial Cluster – Phase 1 will contribute to the strong development of industry and services in the district, especially in Ngoc Tao, Tam Hiep, and neighboring communes. It will address the need for production premises, centralize production activities in craft villages and residential areas, ensure the locality’s industrial development, and overcome environmental pollution in the lives of the people.”
Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen, Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee, speaks at the ceremony.
On behalf of the Hanoi city leaders, Mr. Nguyen Manh Quyen, Member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee, acknowledged and commended the efforts of the Party committees, authorities, and people of Phuc Tho district, as well as the city’s departments and branches, especially T&T Group – the project investor, and the households with cultivated land who supported the site clearance. Given the project’s significance as a work chosen by the city to inaugurate in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Liberation of the Capital (October 10, 1954 – October 10, 2024) and the fact that Phuc Tho district became the first district in the city to complete the groundbreaking of all six established industrial clusters, the Vice Chairman of Hanoi People’s Committee requested that T&T Group concentrate all resources to promptly complete the investment in the construction of the industrial cluster’s technical infrastructure, attract secondary investors in production and business to maximize the project’s efficiency, and contribute to the economic development and social security of Phuc Tho district in particular and Hanoi city in general.
The Hanoi Party Committee, People’s Council, People’s Committee, and Fatherland Front Committee offer a flower basket to congratulate T&T Group at the groundbreaking ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony on behalf of the project investor, Mr. Mai Xuan Son, General Director of T&T Group, affirmed, “With the reputation, experience, and potential of a leading private economic group in Vietnam, which has been developing many large-scale real estate projects across the country, diverse in types, including industrial real estate, T&T Group commits to concentrating all resources to ensure safe, high-quality construction and on-time completion to put the project into operation in June 2026.”
Currently, Hanoi is not only a “destination” for many large enterprises across the country but also an attractive city for foreign investors. Along with the industrial parks and clusters already in operation, the investment in the construction of technical infrastructure for the Nam Phuc Tho Industrial Cluster – Phase 1 will actively contribute to the socio-economic development of the capital, gradually shifting the economic structure towards industrialization and modernization.
