This strategic move elevated their ownership stake to an impressive 3.922%. Marina Logistics has purchased 600,000 HAH shares during the period from August 20 to September 11, matching its previously registered purchase quantity. Considering the average closing price of HAH at VND 40,913 per share during this period, the estimated investment amounts to VND 24.5 billion.

With this transaction, Marina Logistics increased its ownership in HAH from nearly 4.16 million shares (a 3.427% stake) to approximately 4.76 million shares (a 3.922% stake).

Immediately after the transaction, Marina Logistics registered to purchase an additional 650,000 HAH shares with the intention of increasing its investment. The transaction is expected to be executed from September 17 to October 16, valuing the deal at approximately VND 23.4 billion based on the closing price of VND 39,000 per share on September 12.

If the purchase goes according to plan, Marina Logistics will hold nearly 5.41 million HAH shares, representing a 4.457% stake in the company.

Notably, Marina Logistics has a connection through its Chairman, Mr. Vu Thanh Hai, who also serves as the Chairman of HAH and directly owns nearly 243,000 HAH shares, equivalent to a 0.23% stake.

According to information from HAH, Mr. Vu Thanh Hai has been the Chairman of Marina Logistics since 2009. During this period, he also served as the company’s Director until September 2014. Prior to that, from May 2002 to 2009, he held the position of Deputy General Director and Director of Marina Logistics.

The relationship between Marina Logistics and HAH goes beyond ownership. Marina Logistics has been a long-term partner of HAH, with frequent short-term receivables, service revenue, dividends, profits, capital contributions, and profit sharing with BCC, lending, loan repayment, and interest income, among other transactions.

In 2014, HAH signed a business cooperation contract with Marina Logistics and another partner, Transimex Saigon JSC, to purchase, manage, and operate the Haian Park vessel with a capacity of 800 Teus, serving the domestic container route.

In October 2014, HAH continued its collaboration with four partners, including Marina Logistics, to invest in the Haian Song vessel with a capacity of 1,121 Teus. The vessel was deployed on a similar domestic container route as the Haian Park.
