Biwase, a leading water and environment company in Binh Duong, reported solid financial results for the first eight months of 2024. With an estimated revenue of nearly VND 2,500 billion and a post-tax profit of VND 430 billion, the company witnessed a 7% increase in revenue and a 5% decrease in profit compared to the same period last year.

As of August, the company is yet to recognize nearly VND 119 billion in revenue from waste treatment and approximately VND 112 billion from wastewater treatment. Including these figures, Biwase’s total revenue would exceed VND 2,700 billion, achieving 66% of its annual plan.

Specifically, in August, the company is estimated to have generated VND 377 billion in revenue and VND 73 billion in post-tax profit.

In the same industry, TDM Water also posted positive results for the first eight months of the year. With a total revenue of over VND 364 billion and a post-tax profit of more than VND 112 billion, the company experienced a 3% increase in revenue and a 46% decrease in profit compared to the previous year.

TDM Water attributed the profit decline to the difference in financial income from dividends. While they received cash dividends from Biwase, their strategic shareholder with a 37.42% stake, in the previous year, Biwase paid dividends in shares this year. Additionally, increased financial investment provisions and foreign exchange rate loss provisions also impacted their profit.

For the month of August, TDM is estimated to have achieved VND 41 billion in revenue and VND 17 billion in post-tax profit.
