The VinFast VF 3, launched in early August, has quickly garnered significant attention from Vietnamese consumers. This interest isn’t limited to the domestic market, as the vehicle is predicted to create a buzz in international markets as well.
According to TopGear Philippines, VinFast Philippines recently announced that the mini electric vehicle VF 3 will be officially released in the country on September 17. This makes VF 3 the fifth model, after VF e34, VF 5, VF 7, and VF 9, to join the brand’s lineup in the second most populous country in Southeast Asia.
Accompanying this information is an image depicting seven VinFast VF 3s in various colors, including green, purple, gray, pink, red, and yellow, resting on a shipping platform. Some even sport the Creators’ Edition emblem. The website speculates that these vehicles are commercial models, not concept or display cars typically showcased at exhibitions.
Additionally, VinFast Philippines has provided an expected price range. Specifically, the VinFast VF 3 is anticipated to be priced below 800,000 Philippine pesos, roughly equivalent to 350 million Vietnamese dong.
While the expected price has been disclosed, further details about the vehicle remain undisclosed, likely retaining many of the same specifications and equipment as the model sold in Vietnam.
“We assume that this is the starting price for the VF 3. This is very competitive, especially for an electric car. This electric car can compete with the likes of the Toyota Raize and Kia Sonet thanks to its reasonable price, and it might even shake up the market and this segment,” TopGear Philippines commented.
In the Philippines, some mini electric vehicles currently on the roads include the Wuling Mini EV, Jetour Ice Cream EV, and Baojun Yep.
In Vietnam, the VinFast VF 3 is available with a battery leasing option for 240 million dong, while the price for the car with a battery included is 322 million dong. If leasing the battery, customers only need to pay a monthly fee of 900,000 dong for mileage below 1,500 km, 1.2 million dong for mileage between 1,500 and 2,500 km, and 2 million dong for mileage exceeding 2,500 km.
Furthermore, customers can opt for additional official accessories, such as leather seat covers, rim covers, or a rearview camera.
