Apple’s New iPhone 16 Pro Max Sells Out in a Record-Breaking 18 Minutes!

On September 13, Apple officially started taking pre-orders for the iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 16 in the first wave of markets.

Thailand and Singapore were the first two Southeast Asian countries to be included in this initial rollout. After the first day of sales, a shortage began to emerge for some of the new color options.

Specifically, in Singapore, the iPhone 16 Pro Max was no longer available for delivery in the first batch. For the Desert Titanium color option, all storage configurations of the iPhone 16 Pro Max will only be available for delivery from October 8 to 15. Other color and storage variants are also facing delays, with the earliest availability being September 26.

A similar situation is occurring with the iPhone 16 Pro. For the Desert Titanium option, most storage configurations will only be available from October onwards.

Meanwhile, all storage and color options for the iPhone 16 are available for delivery on September 20. For the iPhone 16 Plus, the 128GB and 256GB models in Jade Green and Sky Blue will be available from September 24 to 26.

In Singapore, the iPhone 16 Pro Max is no longer available for immediate delivery in the first wave.

Both the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max sold out on the first day of sales in Thailand.

In the US market, the titanium gold color option had its delivery date pushed back by a week just 18 minutes after sales began. After two hours, all color and storage configurations of the iPhone 16 Pro Max were showing delivery times of 3-4 weeks, meaning customers may have to wait until mid-October to receive their devices.

There are several reasons why the iPhone 16 Pro is a popular choice among consumers, including its larger display, improved battery life, and the new Control Camera button. The ultra-wide camera has been upgraded to 48MP, and the device features the A18 Pro chip.

Even though none of the iPhone 16 models come with Apple Intelligence, which is expected to be introduced with iOS 18.1 in October, consumers still appreciate Apple’s latest offerings.

In Vietnam, the iPhone 16 series will be delivered starting September 27. Pre-orders will be available on the Apple Store Online from September 20. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus will have starting prices of VND 23 million and VND 26 million for the 128GB variants, respectively. The iPhone 16 Pro will start at VND 29 million for the 128GB model, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max will be priced from VND 35 million for the 256GB version.

According to CellphoneS, nearly 50% of customers who expressed interest in upgrading to the iPhone 16 series intend to do so as soon as it becomes available in Vietnam.

A survey conducted by CellphoneS in August 2024 among iPhone users revealed that the iPhone 16 Pro Max remains the most popular choice, expected to account for around 75% of initial deposits. Additionally, 65% of respondents preferred to sell their old devices to facilitate the upgrade.

Similarly, a representative from Di Dong Viet shared that their team had received numerous inquiries from customers about the new iPhone models, including questions about availability, release dates, and pricing.

“We predict that the iPhone 16 Pro Max 256GB in Desert Titanium will be one of the most sought-after models by Vietnamese consumers,” the representative added.
