The floodwaters of the Buoi River have now receded, and authorities and residents of the eight communes in Thach Thanh district are urgently addressing the aftermath of the floods, with a particular focus on environmental sanitation and disease prevention in the area.
Earlier, due to the impact of Storm No. 3 and prolonged rains, the Buoi River overflowed, causing nearly 400 houses in Thach Thanh district to be deeply flooded, affecting and causing difficulties for the local people.
According to the Provincial Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention, Search and Rescue, and Civil Defense, the impact of Storm No. 3 and the floods caused damage in many localities in the province. There was one reported death and two injuries, along with damage to nearly 300 houses and flooding in almost 400 others.
The floods also caused significant damage to thousands of hectares of rice and crops, hundreds of hectares of aquaculture farms, and multiple national and provincial roads and structures that suffered from landslides and cracks.

As of 5 pm on September 14th, organizations and individuals had collectively donated an impressive 1,000 billion VND to the Central Relief Fund of the Vietnamese Fatherland Front’s Central Committee.
