Ending August 2024 on a high note, Toyota emerged as the leading automaker with the most models featured in the top 10 best-selling cars across the market. Surpassing prominent brands like Ford, Mitsubishi, Hyundai, and Mazda, Toyota solidified its position as a favorite among car buyers.

According to the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA), the Vietnamese automobile market has been relatively quiet compared to previous months, with total market sales reaching only 25,196 units, a 13% decrease compared to July 2024.

By the end of August 2024, the Mitsubishi Xforce emerged as the best-selling model in the market, with 2,504 units delivered to consumers, a significant 43.2% increase compared to the previous month (1,748 units). Cumulative sales for the first eight months of the year showed that 8,142 Xforce vehicles were sold.

Closely following in second place was the Ford Ranger, with 1,247 units sold, a marginal decrease of 2 units compared to July (1,274 units), but a 14.5% increase year-on-year. The third position was held by the Mazda CX-5, which experienced a slight sales increase of 2.5%, totaling 1,070 units.
