With superior capabilities and extensive experience in safe vaccination campaigns, especially for children, VNVC’s 39 vaccination centers in the city, along with a team of nearly 2,000 doctors, nurses, and highly skilled medical staff, joined the free measles vaccination drive for children aged 1-10 years old, starting on September 16th.
Ms. Ngo Thi Tuyet Suong, Director of Quality Management at VNVC, shared that to swiftly curb the ongoing measles outbreak, VNVC joined hands with the city’s health sector by deploying specialized GSP-compliant vaccine transport vehicles to district health centers to receive the allocated measles vaccines.

Emphasizing the importance of safe vaccine transportation, Ms. Suong explained that if vaccines are not handled and transported according to the stringent GSP (Good Storage Practices) standards, their quality could be compromised. This would render the vaccination drive ineffective and even pose potential risks to the children’s health and safety.
VNVC, a pioneer in this field, has developed an international-standard vaccine cold chain system. It boasts large and high-quality vaccine storage facilities, including three regional warehouses in the North, Central, and South regions, hundreds of central warehouses, a fleet of cold chain vehicles, and specialized vaccine storage units. All of these have been internationally certified to meet GSP standards and are regularly audited by health authorities.

VNVC’s warehouse system is professionally designed, spacious, technologically advanced, and safe. Built on standardized premises with convenient transportation access, the regional warehouses ensure a strict one-way flow for vaccine import and export procedures. The warehouses are also equipped with buffer zones, import and export storage areas, special monitoring sections, and separate storage areas.
According to Ms. Suong, each VNVC vaccine warehouse is equipped with a minimum of three power sources: the national power grid, a high-capacity generator that can provide up to 72 hours of backup power, and a mobile power generation system. This backup power system also supplies electricity to the specialized vaccine storage units in each center. In the event of a power outage, the generator kicks in within just 20 seconds.

Since the outbreak of measles in Ho Chi Minh City and the rise in cases in other localities, there has been an increase in the number of adults and children seeking vaccination. From September 1st to 14th, there was a 300% increase in vaccinations compared to the same period in the previous month. VNVC has administered over 30,000 doses of measles vaccines to children in Ho Chi Minh City since September 1st, 2024.
Dr. Bach Thi Chinh, Medical Director of VNVC, highlighted the system’s strengths, including being the largest private vaccination center network in the city, standardized quality across all centers nationwide, ensuring vaccine safety, highly skilled doctors for pre-vaccination screening, and well-trained nurses for vaccinations. VNVC centers are also equipped with functional rooms, post-vaccination reaction rooms, and a high-quality vaccine storage system.
“Each VNVC vaccination center has a post-vaccination reaction room with essential medications and emergency equipment, such as anti-shock kits and oxygen cylinders. Our team regularly undergoes training in emergency response skills. We also have a 24/7 hotline to address any post-vaccination concerns, not only for our customers but for all citizens,” emphasized Dr. Chinh.
During this measles outbreak response, VNVC pledges to provide infrastructure, medical supplies, and personnel to support the city’s efforts. These actions demonstrate VNVC’s social responsibility and commitment to protecting the health of millions of citizens, with a particular focus on safe and effective vaccinations.

Dr. Chinh assured that all children eligible for free measles vaccination at VNVC would receive the same standard of care as in other VNVC centers across the system. Their vaccination information will be stored in the National Vaccination Information System and the VNVC mobile app.
VNVC offers various promotional programs to encourage timely disease prevention, especially for families in difficult situations and children with special circumstances. They are also the first vaccination unit to introduce a “vaccinate now, pay later” model, offering up to 12 months of interest-free installments, with VNVC covering all interest costs to ease economic burdens.
