On September 17, major banks and enterprises simultaneously raised the price of SJC gold by 1.5 million VND per tael, pushing the price to the 80.0-82.0 million VND per tael range.
The price of plain gold rings remained relatively stable compared to the previous day, with the selling price now above 79 million VND per tael.
Specifically, at SJC Company, gold rings are priced at 77.9-79.3 million VND per tael. Bao Tin Minh Chau maintained their rates at 77.98-79.18 million VND per tael, while DOJI and PNJ applied prices of 78.0-79.2 million VND per tael and 78.0-79.2 million VND per tael, respectively.
In the international market, the spot gold price on the evening of September 16 once again reached a new peak at 2,590 USD per ounce. When converted according to the current VND/USD exchange rate, the gold price is equivalent to 78 million VND per tael, excluding taxes and fees.
According to analysts at Societe Generale, gold currently accounts for 100% of their commodity portfolio allocation. In their report, the analysts noted: “Gold is driven by geopolitical instability and a moderate inflation environment in the US.”
Specifically, the Fed’s policy reversal will impact interest rates and the US dollar. Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, as well as the prolonged tensions between the US and China, have also been ongoing.
The Golden Ring’s Price Surge Continues
This morning (September 12th), the price of gold rings surged once again, climbing by 150,000 VND per tael to reach an impressive 78.65 million VND per tael. In contrast, the selling price of SJC gold remained stagnant at 80.5 million VND per tael.
