The total investment for the upgrade of National Highway 13 is VND 12,463,575,000,000, including VND 4,091,575,000,000 of state capital, accounting for 33% of the total investment, and VND 8,372,000,000,000 of investor and mobilized capital, accounting for 67% of the total investment.

According to the People’s Committee of Binh Duong Province, the improvement and expansion of National Highway 13 will continue to create a “technical framework” for the socio-economic development of Binh Duong Province, aiming to achieve two major goals: alleviating traffic congestion on the route and preparing for long-term urban development plans through lane expansion and shaping the province’s vital transportation artery.

The National Highway 13 section in Thuan An City (Binh Duong Province) is being expanded from 6 to 8 lanes.

With the investment in upgrading this vital route, Binh Duong Province expects to continue attracting investment for its new development phase, contributing to the province’s transformation into a civilized and modern urban area, one of the key developing areas in the Southern Key Economic Region, with a significant spillover effect and a strong impact on neighboring provinces and surrounding areas.

The scope and location of the additional section of National Highway 13 to be improved and expanded: from Vinh Phu Gateway in Thuan An City (Km1+315) to the intersection with Le Hong Phong Street in Thu Dau Mot City (Km15+315), expanding 2 lanes on the right side (after expansion, there will be a total of 8 lanes), and investing in synchronous sidewalks, greenery, and drainage systems.
