Joining the spirit of mutual affection for the people affected by Storm No. 3 – Yagi, Samsung and Sony are both implementing support programs to assist customers with damaged electronics and appliances.
Specifically, Samsung has recently launched the “Samsung supports customers affected by Storm Yagi” program.
Customers will benefit from free repair labor, waived transportation and travel expenses (if any), and a 50% discount on replacement parts (if needed). In cases where repair is not possible due to extensive damage or unavailability of parts, customers can purchase new products at preferential prices.
The following provinces are eligible for this support: Bac Kan, Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Cao Bang, Dien Bien, Ha Giang, Ha Nam, Hanoi, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Hoa Binh, Hung Yen, Lai Chau, Lang Son, Lao Cai, Nam Dinh, Ninh Binh, Phu Tho, Quang Ninh, Son La, Thai Binh, Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Phuc, and Yen Bai.
Consumers can register from September 13, 2024, to September 30, 2024, to avail of this support.
Samsung representatives stated that this program would apply to all products with activated electronic warranties and damaged directly by floods. Eligible customers are end consumers using Samsung-branded electronics and appliances officially distributed in the Vietnamese market.
Concurrently, Sony Electronics also announced its support for affected customers by offering free inspection and product cleaning services, waiving in-home service fees (if applicable), and providing discounts on replacement parts. They are offering a 30% discount on screen-related parts and a 50% discount on other components.
In cases where the device cannot be repaired (due to unavailability of parts, extensive damage, or the customer’s preference for a new purchase), customers can purchase new products at special discounted prices.
Sony Electronics Vietnam shared that this program will be valid until October 10, 2024, and applies to all Sony-branded consumer products distributed by Sony Electronics Vietnam in the Vietnamese market. It is exclusively for products damaged by floods.
This program is applicable in Hanoi, Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hai Duong, Hung Yen, Bac Ninh, Bac Giang, Vinh Phuc, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Yen Bai, Tuyen Quang, Lang Son, Bac Kan, Lao Cai, Cao Bang, Ha Giang, Dien Bien, Lai Chau, Son La, Hoa Binh, and Ha Nam. It is intended for end-user customers who have registered with Sony’s Customer Care Center.
