On September 17, Apple released the latest iOS 18 software update. This iOS version introduces fresh features focusing on enhancing users’ personalized experiences.

However, shortly after iOS 18 became available for download, numerous users reported encountering issues with their iPhones after upgrading to the new operating system.

iOS 18 is officially released but encounters numerous bugs.

Specifically, within Vietnamese iPhone user groups, many individuals have shared that their devices are experiencing rapid battery drain and abnormal overheating.

“Before upgrading to iOS 18, my iPhone 15 Pro performed smoothly without any overheating issues. However, post-update, my phone feels significantly warmer, and the battery drains faster. This situation resembles the iOS 17 overheating bug I previously encountered,” shared user Nam Dương.

It’s not just the iPhone 15 Pro; older iPhone models supported by iOS 18 are also facing similar issues after the update.

While iOS 18 is now available for download, users are encountering various bugs.

Additionally, some users have reported other issues, including keyboard glitches with Vietnamese text input and laggy performance when multitasking.

Renowned tech website Pocket-lint characterized iOS 18 as “unfinished” and noted that it contains several bugs that impact the user experience. Furthermore, Apple Intelligence, one of the key features of iOS 18, has been delayed.

Tech reviewer Vinh Vật Vờ suggested that iOS 18 has some bugs and recommended that users consider staying on iOS 17.7 and await subsequent updates instead of rushing to install iOS 18.

iOS 18 might not be the most stable update, and users can choose to update or remain on iOS 17.7.

Regarding the iPhone’s battery drain and overheating issues, PhoneArena attributed these problems to potential incompatibility between the new operating system and older hardware, a phenomenon often observed with major iOS updates.

Apple has not yet commented on the issues faced by users after the iOS 18 update. As this is the initial release, Apple is likely to make adjustments and improvements in subsequent updates.
