The Foreign Buying Frenzy Continues: Institutional Investors Scoop Up 300 Billion Dong, Heavily Investing in Three Key Securities

The VN-Index extended its rally on September 18, closing higher for the second straight session. The index advanced 5.95 points to 1,264.9. Trading liquidity improved compared to the previous session, with the value of transactions on HOSE exceeding VND 18,500 billion. Foreign investors net bought VND 300 billion in the market.

On the buying side, SSI was the most purchased stock by foreign investors on HOSE, with a net buy value of over VND 137 billion. FUESSVFL and FPT followed closely, with net buy values of VND 115 billion and VND 105 billion, respectively. TCB and TPB were also net bought, with values of VND 55 billion and VND 52 billion, respectively.

On the selling side, HPG witnessed the strongest foreign selling pressure, with a net sell value of nearly VND 87 billion. KDH and VPB also faced net selling of VND 66 billion and VND 62 billion, respectively.

On HNX, foreign investors net bought VND 7 billion

IDC attracted the highest net buying value of VND 14 billion on HNX. PVI followed suit with a net buy value of VND 5.5 billion. Foreign investors also net bought a few billion dong worth of PVS, MBS, and VTZ.

On the opposite side, NTP faced the highest net selling pressure from foreign investors, with a value of nearly VND 11 billion. CEO, BVS, and SHS also witnessed net selling of a few billion dong.

On UPCOM, foreign investors net sold VND 18 billion

Conversely, BSR faced net selling pressure from foreign investors, with a net sell value of VND 12 billion. ACV, GDA, LTG, and a few other stocks also witnessed net selling by foreign investors.
