The Hanoi People’s Committee has recently published a list of construction projects that were put into operation without fire protection approval in the area owned by various ministries and sectors.

The list includes 18 projects, one of which is the Inland Waterways Department of Vietnam in Dich Vong Hau Ward, Cau Giay District, under the Ministry of Transport. Another project is the Socio-Economic and National Center under the Ministry of Planning and Investment, also in Cau Giay District.

Three buildings constructed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade were also mentioned: the Ministry of Industry and Trade Tower in Bac Tu Liem District, the 11-story training and retraining center for officers of the Central Industry and Trade sector in Hoang Mai District, and the Vietnam Hung Industrial University in Son Tay town.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health accounts for five projects that lack fire protection approval, including the Central Geriatric Hospital, the Central Veterinary Diagnosis Center, Temporary House K of the Central Obstetrics Hospital, House B5 and House E of the Viet Duc Hospital, and the Central Hospital for Tropical Diseases (including the basement and second floor).

The Hanoi Community College and Hanoi University of Physical Education and Sports, under the Ministry of Education and Training, are also among the listed violators.

According to the Hanoi People’s Committee, they have issued multiple directives to resolutely handle construction projects operating without fire protection approval. However, the progress of rectification among these violating projects remains slow.

Therefore, the city authorities have requested the concerned units to take proactive measures to ensure that these projects operate in compliance with legal regulations.
