Total JSC Investment and Development Construction (DIC Corp, Code: DIG) has just announced its plan to build social housing in Vinh Phuc, Ha Nam, and Hau Giang provinces, contributing to the realization of the Government’s project “Investing in building at least one million social housing apartments for low-income people and industrial park workers for the period of 2021 – 2030.”
Specifically, the New Urban Area in the South of Vinh Yen – Phase 1 (scale: 190.6ha, Vinh Phuc province); Lam Ha Center Point Housing Area (scale: 13.5ha, Ha Nam province) and Vi Thanh Commercial Residential Area (DIC Victory City Hau Giang) (scale: 83.4ha, Hau Giang province) are large-scale real estate projects with DIC Corporation as the investor.
The total investment capital for these three projects is about VND 9,390 billion, and the number of apartments expected to be supplied to the market is 6,615 units.

Among these, the social housing project in the New Urban Area in the South of Vinh Yen – Phase 1 has the largest scale with an area of over 17 hectares, a total investment of VND 8,038 billion. The project is divided into 4 phases, implemented from Q4/2024 to 2031. Phase 1 (Q4/2024 – Q4/2026) will have a scale of 8,194 m2, an investment capital of VND 309 billion, and provide 280 apartments. The number of apartments is expected to be 5,320 units.
Next is the social housing project at DIC Victory City Hau Giang with an area of nearly 9.6 hectares, of which the construction area is 66,162 m2, and a total investment capital of VND 973 billion. The project is expected to be implemented from Q3/2024 to Q4/2030 and provide 951 terraced houses.
Finally, the social housing project at Lam Ha Center Point has an area of 11,557 m2, an investment capital of VND 379 billion, and is expected to be implemented in the period of 2027 – 2028. The number of apartments is expected to be 344 units.
Sharing about the plan to deploy the social housing project, Mr. Nguyen Quang Tin – General Director of DIC Corporation said: “Accelerating the investment in the construction of social housing projects on the 20% land fund for residential development in urban areas invested by DIC Corporation will make an important contribution to the local social housing development goal assigned by the Government, as well as meet the huge housing needs of workers in Vinh Phuc, Ha Nam, and Hau Giang.”
DIC is completing the legal procedures to soon start the construction of the above projects to affirm the capacity of the Investor and perform the responsibility of directly investing in social housing in urban area projects, residential areas, and housing according to the policies of the State.
