The Government is Set to Issue a Decree on Encouraging Rooftop Solar Power

On the afternoon of September 23, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Government's Standing Committee on the draft Government's Decree on mechanisms and policies to encourage the development of rooftop solar power.

At the meeting, after listening to the report from the Ministry of Industry and Trade (the agency in charge of drafting the Decree), and the opinions of the delegates present, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh requested that the Ministry of Industry and Trade absorb the opinions to complete the draft Decree and submit it to the Government for issuance next week.

The Prime Minister requested that the Decree encourage the development of rooftop solar power for self-consumption to promote Vietnam’s unique potential, outstanding opportunities, and competitive advantages in solar power.
