September 20th marked the third working day and the closing session of the 10th Conference of the 13th Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
On the final day of the conference, the Central Committee members convened in the main hall to elect two additional members to the Central Inspection Commission: Mr. Ha Quoc Tri, Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Khanh Hoa province, and Mr. Dinh Van Cuong, Director of Area I of the Central Inspection Commission’s apparatus.
The Central Committee then proceeded to nominate candidates for the political bureau, the secretariat of the 14th term, for the period 2026-2031, and supplemented the plan for the 14th Central Committee for the same term.
Subsequently, the Political Bureau and the Secretariat met to discuss and provide opinions on the absorption and explanation of the Central Committee’s discussions at the conference.
In the afternoon, the Central Committee discussed and provided opinions on the policy for the project to establish Hue city under the Central Government and held the closing session.
Chairwoman of the National Assembly Tran Thanh Man, on behalf of the Political Bureau, chaired the meeting. Members of the Political Bureau presented the reports on the absorption and explanation of the Political Bureau.
The Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theory Council, Nguyen Xuan Thang, presented the report on the absorption and explanation of the draft political report to be submitted to the 14th National Party Congress.

Deputy Prime Minister of the Government Nguyen Hoa Binh presented the report on the absorption and explanation of the group of economic, social, financial, and budgetary issues and the policy on the construction of the high-speed North-South railway line.
Head of the Central Organization Commission, Le Minh Hung, presented the report on the absorption and explanation of the group of issues related to party building, the implementation of the Party Statute, and the amendment and supplementation of the regulations on elections within the Party.
