In a recent development, the ACET language center (owned by IDP Vietnam) has announced its closure.
“After over 20 years of teaching English in Vietnam, ACET will cease operations on December 31, 2024. All current students will be supported to complete their ongoing courses,” the announcement stated.
ACET also extended its “gratitude to our students, teachers, and alumni, who have played a significant role in our historical journey.”
The statement continued: We are aware that many ACET alumni have achieved success due to their refined and developed English abilities in both work and life.
“We are proud of our contribution to your success over the years,” ACET stated.
If you’re preparing for the IELTS exam, the IDP team can provide information about free and paid support tools to help you achieve your best results on test day.
According to the announcement, the study abroad counseling and IELTS exam organizing activities at the IDP Ngoc Khanh office (Hanoi) and IDP Le Van Sy office (Ho Chi Minh City) remain normal.
ACET is an international English center specializing in teaching Academic English and IELTS preparation programs to build a language foundation for studying abroad and academic skills in an international university environment. ACET also offers specialized Academic English skills courses and Academic English for secondary school students.
Prior to its closure, the center had four branches in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
In Ho Chi Minh City, the center is located at 187 Vo Thi Sau, Ward 7, District 3, and 226 Le Van Sy, Ward 1, Tan Binh District.
In Hanoi, the centers are located at Ocean Park Building, 1 Dao Duy Anh, and 15-17 Ngoc Khanh, Giang Vo, Ba Dinh.
According to its website, this language center is a member of IDP Vietnam Education Company. IDP is a leader in global education services.
IDP is a listed company in Australia, operating in 57 countries, and our websites attract 100 million visits annually.
Along with the British Council, IDP is a familiar IELTS organizing brand.
Currently, the number of IELTS test preparation centers is booming, and many high-scorers are also starting to “recruit” and teach. This has led to a more fierce “IELTS preparation” market.
