On September 27, a representative from the Ministry of Construction announced that the ministry has sent an official dispatch to the People’s Committees of provinces and cities regarding the publication of information for the third quarter of 2024 on housing and the real estate market in their respective localities. The dispatch also requested a report on the same to be submitted to the Department of Housing and Real Estate Market Management by September 30.
According to the dispatch, the Ministry of Construction has proposed that the People’s Committees of provinces and cities direct their Department of Construction and other relevant departments to collect and synthesize information and data on housing and the real estate market as stipulated in the Government’s Decree No. 94/2024/ND-CP. This decree provides detailed regulations on the Law on Real Estate Business regarding the construction and management of an information system and database for housing and the real estate market, which came into effect on August 1, 2024.
Localities are requested to update information on the issuance of programs and plans for housing development, the number of projects that have been approved for investment policies and selected investors, as well as the number of housing and real estate projects that have been licensed, are under implementation, or have been completed. Additionally, they are to provide information on the number of projects and apartments eligible for sale of houses to be formed in the future (including commercial and social housing).
Provinces and cities are also required to disclose the volume and total value of transactions of apartments, detached houses, and land plots, along with the prices of various types of real estate, such as apartments, detached houses, land plots, and social housing. Information on rental prices for offices, commercial spaces, hotels, tourism and resort properties, industrial real estate, and real estate inventory should also be included.
Particularly, localities are to update the implementation of social housing development and the deployment of the VND 120,000 billion credit package for social housing loans in their respective areas. They are also encouraged to report any difficulties and obstacles faced by enterprises operating in the real estate field, along with proposed solutions if available.
