The recreational park and nursery are expected to span an impressive 277 hectares (equivalent to 2.77 square kilometers). To put it into perspective, this park will be approximately 13 times the size of Hoa Binh Park (0.2 km2), five times the size of Thong Nhat Park (0.5 km2), and half the size of Hoan Kiem district (5.29 km2). This image showcases the vast expanse of land earmarked for the project.

In terms of location, the park is strategically positioned between Lien Mac Road and Tay Thang Long Road. It is also in close proximity to the Avenue Garden project and the Nam Thang Long Industrial Park.

Notably, the recreational park and nursery will be adjacent to the future Thuong Cat Bridge, which is part of the planned Ring Road 3.5 with a total investment of nearly VND 8,300 billion. The Thuong Cat Bridge will have a total length of approximately 5.2 kilometers, spanning the Red River and connecting Bac Tu Liem district and Dong Anh district. Construction is expected to commence on October 10, 2024.

Despite being located in a residential area, the master plan for the recreational park and nursery aims to minimize disruption to existing residential areas.

Most of the 2.7-square-kilometer area is currently utilized by local residents for growing vegetables and flowers.

Upon observation, the surrounding areas of Thuong Cat and Lien Mac wards lack sufficient parks for recreational purposes. Hence, the development of this recreational park and nursery is deemed necessary. Moreover, the construction will ensure that the resources in this area are utilized efficiently through well-planned urban development.

However, there has not been much information released about the construction of this recreational park and nursery. According to the 2024 land use plan of Bac Tu Liem district, four large parks are expected to be added: a cultural and entertainment park combining the conservation of the Tu Liem fruit garden with eco-agricultural tourism; a cultural and recreational park; a botanical park; and a high-tech science park. Notably, the recreational park and nursery have not yet been included in the district’s land use plan.

Regarding the infrastructure surrounding the recreational park and nursery, the Yen Noi Road currently serves as the main thoroughfare and is centrally located. This road has a relatively narrow cross-section and primarily caters to the local population’s travel needs.

According to the master plan, two major roads are expected to be constructed in the vicinity of the recreational park and nursery. In addition to the aforementioned Ring Road 3.5, there will be a new road connecting Ring Road 3.5 to Ring Road 3, running parallel to Lien Mac Road.

In the future, once the Ring Road 3.5 and the connecting road between Ring Road 3.5 and Ring Road 3 are completed and operational, these two routes will significantly enhance accessibility to the park and the surrounding areas.
