The Chairman’s APG sale transaction is expected to take place from October 1-31, 2024, through order matching or agreement, for personal investment purposes.

APG stock price has been on a downward trend since mid-March 2024. Currently, each APG share is trading at around VND 9,500/share, a decrease of more than 40% since the peak in March.

The second-quarter 2024 financial results could be one of the reasons for the continued deep decline in stock prices. Accordingly, net profit in the second quarter decreased by 47% to more than VND 47 billion, mainly due to the revaluation of financial assets through higher profit/loss compared to the same period.

APG stock has been continuously decreasing recently

Mr. Nguyen Ho Hung, born in 1970, has been the Chairman of the Board of APG since 2013. In addition, he is also the Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Louis Capital Joint Stock Company since 2021; Independent Member of the Board of Directors of Crystal Plastic Production and Technology Joint Stock Company (HOSE: PLP) since 2017; Chairman of the Members’ Council of Cao Bang Barite Exploitation and Processing One-Member Limited Company since 2012,…

Back to Mr. Hung’s transaction, considering the market price in recent sessions, the Chairman of APG is expected to collect more than VND 47 billion through this deal.

The Chairman of APG‘s move came as a surprise as recently in July and August, he registered to buy 2 million APG shares but failed to do so, citing that the price did not meet expectations.

In May, Mr. Hung bought 1 million APG shares, increasing his ownership from 4.82% to 5.27% as it stands today, and becoming a major shareholder at APG. At that time, each APG share was priced at nearly VND 14,000, almost one and a half times the current price.

In addition to Mr. Hung, there have been continuous insider trading activities of APG recently, with General Director Tran Thien Ha selling 673,000 shares from August 21 to September 17; Chief Accountant Nguyen Thanh Nghi bought more than 41,000 shares from September 4 to 16, equivalent to more than 4% of the registered amount; Head of Internal Audit Department Nguyen Thi Phuong sold the entire holding of more than 351,000 shares on August 29 and 30.
