The Foreign Buying Frenzy Continues: Massive Investments in Vietnam’s Stock Market

Foreign trading activities were positive, with a net buy of 2.3 trillion VND across the market.

The VN-Index witnessed a pullback on September 27th, following three consecutive gaining sessions. Positive buying pressure pushed the index towards the 1,300-point level at the start of the session before gradually retreating towards the closing bell. The VN-Index ended the session at 1,290 points, a decline of 0.57 points from the previous session. Liquidity remained robust, with trading value on HOSE surpassing 21.5 trillion VND. Foreign investors net bought nearly 230 billion VND in the market.

Foreign investors net bought 249 billion VND on HOSE

On the buying side, FPT was the most purchased stock by foreign investors on HOSE, with a net buy value of over 103 billion VND. TPB and VNM followed closely, with net buy values of 95 billion VND and 79 billion VND, respectively. SSI and CTG were also net bought, with values of 61 billion VND and 43 billion VND, respectively.

On the opposite side, VPB faced the strongest selling pressure from foreign investors, with a net sell value of nearly 161 billion VND. MWG and HDG also witnessed net selling of 73 billion VND and 67 billion VND, respectively.

Foreign investors net sold 19 billion VND on HNX

TIG was the most net bought stock on HNX, with a value of 4 billion VND. BVS followed closely, with a net buy value of 3.4 billion VND. Foreign investors also net bought a few billion VND worth of PVS, VGS, and HUT.

On the selling side, IDC faced the highest net selling pressure, with a value of nearly 22 billion VND. TNG, SHS, and PVB also witnessed net selling of a few billion VND each.

Foreign investors net sold 1 billion VND on UPCOM

In terms of net bought stocks on UPCOM, QNS led with a value of 1.5 billion VND. VEA and ABI followed, with a few billion VND net bought value each.

On the other hand, NTC faced net selling pressure of 2 billion VND from foreign investors. HNG, ACV, GDA, and a few other stocks were also net sold by foreign investors.
