Topping the list is the group of electrical equipment and electronic components with an export turnover of about 680 million USD. This is followed by the group of construction materials with 550 million USD; textiles and garments with 500 million USD; wood chips with 200 million USD; seafood with 140 million USD; and footwear with 100 million USD.
In 2023, Nghe An’s total export turnover reached 3.11 billion USD, surpassing the 3-billion-USD mark for the first time, with exports accounting for approximately 2.5 billion USD.
Nghe An is emerging as the new “capital” of electronic component manufacturing in Vietnam, attracting five tech giants: Foxconn, Luxshare, Goertek, Everwin, and JuTeng.
In 2022 and 2023, Nghe An attracted a total of nearly 2.5 billion USD in FDI, with over 1.6 billion USD in 2023 alone.
