With its long-term vision and strategic investments, THACO AGRI is on a mission to “Elevate Vietnamese Agriculture.”

The Strategy for Industrializing Agriculture

THACO AGRI, a member of the THACO Group established in 2019, adopts a strategy of large-scale, integrated, and circular organic agricultural production. In just five years, THACO AGRI has successfully developed a model of large-scale Agricultural Complexes with integrated and circular production. This includes specialized banana and pineapple plantations, along with other fruit crops such as mango, grapefruit, and durian, combined with cattle farming. THACO AGRI’s operations also encompass beef cattle breeding, calf and beef cattle grazing, concentrated beef cattle fattening, pig breeding and meat production combined with forestry, and the farming of other species such as goats, fish, and birds. They also produce agricultural machinery and supplies, process fruits, manufacture banana fibers, and produce organic and mineral microbial fertilizers. All of these activities are spread across over 84,000 hectares of land in Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia.

Recognizing the need for careful, well-planned, and scientific investments in agriculture, THACO AGRI places great emphasis on technical research and development. They actively apply mechanization, biotechnology, and digitalization with suitable roadmaps to enhance their production and business efficiency. THACO AGRI continuously invests in breeding centers and the application of new-generation agricultural machinery and technology. They also work on infrastructure improvements in the industrial clusters within the Agricultural Complexes and operate factories to support industrial production in agriculture.

Investment and Business Expansion

In 2024, THACO AGRI continues to invest 5.4 trillion VND in construction, new planting, and livestock projects to lay the foundation for sustainable agricultural development. As part of this initiative, THACO AGRI plans to cultivate an additional 5,200 hectares of bananas, bringing the total banana production area to 6,600 hectares, along with planting 60 hectares of pineapples. The Group also aims to increase its cattle herd to 114,000 heads by the end of 2024, with an estimated sales volume of 9,200 cattle. The total area for fruit production combined with cattle farming is 6,000 hectares, with an estimated export volume of 61,000 tons of fruit (60,000 tons of bananas and 1,000 tons of other fruits).
