In a recent interview, Mr. Nguyen Van Manh, Deputy Director of the Bac Giang Province’s Department of Transportation, shared insights about the Dong Viet Bridge project in Yen Dung District. According to Mr. Manh, the project is under the management of the provincial management board for transportation and agricultural construction projects. Contractors are focused on construction, with bridge paving expected to commence on October 18, and the project is on track for substantial completion by December 31.
The leadership of the Bac Giang Provincial People’s Committee expressed their strong interest in the Dong Viet Bridge project. They have been actively directing relevant authorities to provide necessary support to the construction units, ensuring that the bridge construction proceeds as scheduled and meets technical standards.
The project has faced challenges with land clearance for the bridge approach, which remains incomplete due to some households constructing houses on agricultural land. This week, a vice chairman of the Bac Giang Provincial People’s Committee is expected to work with relevant parties to address these issues and accelerate the progress of the Dong Viet Bridge project.
According to the reporter’s investigation, the Dong Viet Bridge is the first and largest cable-stayed bridge in Bac Giang Province. It serves as a vital connection between Bac Giang and Hai Duong Provinces. The project has a total investment of nearly VND 1,500 billion. The Thuân An Corporation, as part of a joint venture, is involved in the project with a construction value of over VND 800 billion.
