A host of companies recently released their Q3 2024 financial statements on October 16th, 2024:

A string of hydropower companies, including Song Ha Ba, Se San 4A, Thuy Dien – Dien Luc 3, and Thuy Dien Nam Mu, reported sharp declines in profits for Q3 2024.
Vietnam Oil and Gas Low-Pressure Distribution Joint Stock Company (PGD) garnered nearly VND 119 billion in pre-tax profit in Q3 2024, tripling its performance from the same period last year.
TDS Steel Corporation (TDS) announced a 18% year-on-year increase in revenue for Q3, amounting to VND 385 billion. However, the company incurred a pre-tax loss of nearly VND 7 billion, compared to a loss of VND 537 million in the previous year. For the first nine months of the year, TDS recorded a loss of nearly VND 10 billion.
Hanoi Liquor and Beverage Joint Stock Company (Halico) released its Q3 2024 financial report, showing a slight increase in revenue to over VND 22 billion, a 3.4% rise year-on-year. The company reported a loss of nearly VND 5 billion, triple that of the same period last year. In the first nine months of the year, Halico’s revenue reached nearly VND 80 billion, a 13% increase, but the company still incurred a loss of nearly VND 7.5 billion.
Gia Phong Automobile Joint Stock Company (GGG) had no revenue and reported a loss of nearly VND 4 billion in Q3 2024. For the first nine months, GGG’s revenue exceeded VND 5.3 billion, a sevenfold increase year-on-year, but the company remained in the red with a loss of over VND 14 billion.

Power Investment Corporation 3 (PIC) reported a pre-tax loss of VND 838 million in Q3 2024. For the first nine months of the year, PIC’s pre-tax profit was VND 13 billion, representing a 50% decrease compared to the previous year.
Nam Mu Hydropower Joint Stock Company (HJS) saw its Q3 pre-tax profit drop by 46% to VND 11 billion. For the first nine months, the company’s pre-tax profit slightly decreased by 3%, reaching VND 50 billion.
Nam Ha Noi Housing and Urban Development JSC (NHA) announced Q3 revenue of nearly VND 25 billion, triple the figure from the same period last year. The company’s pre-tax profit was nearly VND 15 billion, a significant increase of 185 times compared to the previous year’s figure of just over VND 81 million. In the first nine months of the year, NHA reported a pre-tax profit of VND 66 billion, a remarkable surge of 5244% year-on-year.
KIS Vietnam Securities recorded a pre-tax profit of VND 132 billion in Q3, a 27% decrease year-on-year, while its nine-month pre-tax profit reached VND 451 billion, a 10% increase compared to the previous year.
